著名公民新聞網站「全球之聲」（Global Voices）全球翻譯計畫，竟是靠兩位台灣大男孩茁壯。5月17日，成員之一的27歲學生錢佳緯，服務事蹟登上紐約時報。
「全球之聲」創建於2004年，由新聞人士查克曼、麥康蕊，在哈佛法學院的貝克曼網路與社會中心贊助下成立，除專職人員4人，數百名會員皆為志工，披露不被主流媒體注意的新聞，主要來源為部落格，英文版每天流量平均近兩萬人。
